Tambopata Hostel

Tambopata Hostel is a centrally located and very competitively priced backpacker hostel set in a tropical garden in Puerto Maldonado, Peru. One of the owners offers a selection of tours in the Tambopata National Reserve, part of the Amazon jungle, which he himself or other local, experienced guides leads.

Accommodation is in a 4 or 10 bed-dorm or a private double or triple bedroom. There is also a 4-bed female dorm. Rooms come with a shared or private bathroom. Rooms are simple and come with a fan, 100% cotton sheets and mosquito nets around the beds.

Facilities in the hostel include a tropical garden with hammocks, board games and a pool table, a fully equipped kitchen, a snack bar, lockers and books about Peruvian wildlife.

Bookings include a free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking.

The hostel is just a block away from Puerto Maldonado‘s main square and within walking distance to the Madre de Dios and Tambopata River boat docks. The airport is 20 minutes by mototaxi and transfers can be arranged.
