Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción

Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción is a luxury, children-friendly lodge located in the heart of a 380 hectare private ecological reserve that used to be a cacao and rubber plantation. It is next to a small oxbow lake and the Tambopata National Reserve, part of the Amazon, in southeastern Peru.

Accommodation is in comfortable bungalows on stilts with two twin or one king-sized bed, or in a 5 room villa. All have private bathrooms and seating areas and have views to the jungle or the oxbow lake.

All activities and meals are included with accommodation bookings. The lodge offers a wide range of excursions, including to Sandoval Lake, night river cruises, jungle walks, canopy tours, a visit to a native farm, mammal claylick and to a cacao plantation. Tours to the Cachuela clay lick are available with a surcharge.

The lodge has a spa which offers different treatments and massages. There is also a conference room for training and academic courses.

Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción is 25 minutes by boat from Puerto Maldonado.

It is run by Inkaterra, which has over 40 years’ experience in nature travel and ecological research and part of its profits are used to fund its not-for-profit conservation and social initiatives association ITA (Inkaterra Asociación).
