Sotupa Eco Lodge

Sotupa Eco Lodge opened its doors on the banks of the Tambopata River in Puerto Maldonado, Southeastern Peru, in 2011. This privileged location means guests at this jungle ecolodge can enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets over the river from one of various outdoor decks or from your room’s balcony, as well as have easy access to the surrounding rainforest.

Guests stay at either one of six bungalows or in a two-storey family cabin, all featuring private bathrooms and private terraces.

Nearby there is a clay lick that is visited daily by various macaws and parrots such as the Severe (Chestnut-Fronted) Macaw, Grey-Headed Parakeet, the Blue-Headed Parrot, and many others.

The ecolodge also features trails near the river and others that lead into the jungle and take you to creeks and small lagoons.

All activities, such as jungle walks, kayaking, caiman searches and visits to the Colpa, meals and free parking are included with your accommodation.

Sotupa Eco Lodge is 25 minutes from Puerto Maldonado by car or 80 minutes by boat.
